Ethiopian Red oval bead & 1919 one rupee coin necklace IN0052

These beads are amongst our favorites, they are Ethopian red oval glass beads. They were originally made in Venice around 1930 and traded to Africa for comodities. Eva has used an original old 1919 one Rupee coin as the pendant. The red beads have an almost luminous glow and the shades and colours vary due to the beads being mixed up over the last 90 years or so.
