Antique African trade bead & sand cast bead necklace IN0058

This is the kind of necklace you could have found thirty years ago in West Africa.  Not any more!  This necklace is a mixture of king beads originaly made in Venice, and very old sand cast beads from Nigeria.  The design is all soft colours, terracottas, autum golds fleshy rosy pinks.   The simple threading (no silver) emphsises the vernacular nature of the beaded necklace. Less is more.
