About Us – Artefacts

Timbuktu to Kathmandu houses one of the most significant collections of African tribal art of its kind. With all artifacts personally sourced by Simon and Eva Manning, the collection is vast and intimate. The context in which the gallery places the art assists in maintaining essences of both exoticism and intrigue.
Masks, figures, headrests, ritual objects are some of the items on display.
Rare and unusual artifacts from West and Central Africa are a feature of our collection. Huge Bedu plank masks from Guinea, Baule figures from Cote’D’Ivoire, Yoruba beaded crowns from Cameroon. Silver crosses from the highlands of Ethiopia. Old windows from Gujarat together with many smaller utilitarian artifacts from the tribal world.
